YSUKT support invalidation of teacher’s recruitment result

Dimapur, June 21 (MExN): The Yimchungrü Students’ Union Kiphire Town (YSUKT) supports the representation submitted by the Pungro Area College Students’ Union (PACSU) and the Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) on invalidation of the recently conducted Teachers recruitment result (Primary & Graduate) Under SDEO and DEO Kiphire.

A press note issued by YSUKT president H. Asola and general secretary Rikhum N Quinker, said that the employment opportunity within Kiphire district should be according to the MOU agreed and signed by the USLB, YTC and KDSH and therefore the MOU should be implemented in letter and in spirit.

And it is apparent that the Government is well aware of the contents of the MOU signed prior to the creation of Kiphire District in 2003, which was then under Tuensang District. The MOU clearly states that 30% of Gr-IV staffs shall be reserved for the Land Owners and the remaining to be shared among the three tribe viz. Sangtam, Yimchungrü and the Sumi. But till date it has been ignored successively.
Hence, the YSUKT appeal the highest authority responsible to adhere to the MOU of Kiphire District and justify before appointment letters are being issued to the selected candidates.

The YSUKT shall remain steadfast in any steps initiated by the YTC and PACSU arising out of this imbroglio which is as a result of discrimination being meted out to the Yimchungrü candidates of the Kiphire District.
