DUCCF meeting today
DIMAPUR, JUNE 29 (MExN): The Secretary of Dimapur Urban Colony Chairmen Forum (DUCCF) has informed to all members that there will be a general meeting on June 30, 2012 at Rotary Club Building, Midland, Dimapur at 10 am. Therefore all the Colony Chairman are requested to attend the meeting positively.
Assorted IMFL and beer seized
Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): In the continuing cooperation between the department and other law enforcing agencies, the MVCP duty party of the 20th Assam Rifles recovered 12 cases of assorted IMFL near Kukidolong NH-29 on June 24 in a Maruti Van bearing registration No NL-01C 9738. In this regard, three accused persons namely Tsoko, Kekoii and Akhile were arrested. Further on June 25, the MVCP duty party of the 29th Assam Rifles recovered 47 cases of beer and 17 cases of assorted IMLF near Hotel Sente junction from a Maruti Van bearing registration No NL-07/2906. Two accused persons namely Ram and Rajib Bordolei were arrested along with the consignment. All the accused persons have been handed over to the District Excise and booked under the relevant sections of the NLTP Act 1989. This was stated in a press release issued by Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Dimapur, Lanuwati Jamir.
DC MKg informs on Residential Permit
Mokokchung, June 29 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Murohu Chotso, in a notification said issue of Residential Permit to the landholders in Mokokchung town will be issued from the Administrator, Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) till further order. This order supersedes DC, Mokokchung earlier notification dated April 20, 2012 regarding issue of Residential Permit to the landholders in Mokokchung Town.
GSUK annual literary competition
Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): All the students, advisors, various NGO’s of the Gorkha Community are informed that the Gorkha Students’ Union, Kohima annual literary competition will be held on June 30 and July 1 at Gorkha Public Panchayat Hall, Chandmari, Kohima. GSUK President, Dhan Prasad Sharma in a press release has informed that any students interested in participating in the competition can contact in the Mobile No. 7308041384.
NCC cadets training held
Kohima, June 29 (DIPR): As part of the perception management campaign and to motivate the youths of Nagaland, 21 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 7 Sector Assam Rifles organised basic training to prepare NCC cadets of Zunheboto District for ‘C’ certificate examination. Lectures and field training was imparted to 15 male cadets and 19 female cadets. A lecture was also conducted to motivate them to join Indian Armed Forces. Commandant, 21 Assam Rifles in his closing address appreciated the role of youths in shaping the present and future of the country.
NCP appoints new members
Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): The president of Nationalist Congress Party, Nagaland State unit informs that it has appointed Jolling Thingra as general secretary, and C.Meren Longkumer as State secretary. This was stated in a press note issued by State NCP president Neiba Ndang.
Panel to discuss issue of Illegal migrants
Kohima, June 29 (DIPR): On its regular programme “Trends of Nagaland” telecast for DD Northeast, DDK Kohima will telecast a live panel discussion on the topic “Has the issue of Illegal migrants gone beyond Nagaland’s grasp?” with NSF president Kelhouneizo Yhome, former NSF president Phusihka Aomi, NESO organizing secretary Elu Ndang, former KVYO president Er. Petekhriezo Dzuvichu and The Telegraph correspondent H. Chishi as guests in the panel. The programme will be telecast live on DD Northeast at 2:00 pm on Saturday and repeat telecast of the same programme will be shown on DDK Kohima Sunday at 6 p.m.
Zunheboto to hold ICDP training
Zunheboto, June 29 (DIPR): Training on implementation of integrated cooperative development project is schedule to be held from July 3 to 5 at Youth Hall Zunheboto. Therefore all the cooperative societies under Zunheboto district who has avail financial assistance from the government in the ICDP first phase 2009-10 and second phase 2010-11 are inform to attend the training positively. Resource persons will be arriving from Veterinary and Agri departments with proper training equipments for the benefit of the society functionary. TA/DA will also be provided immediately after the completion of the training.
