ANPSTA team visit Delhi; wants strict direction to State govt
DIMAPUR, JULY 5 (MExN): The All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers’ Association (ANPSTA) sent their delegates to meet the Central Government and submitted a representation to the (MHRD) Secretary. The team urged the Central Government to direct the State to act in accordance to the law enacted by the constitution since the State Govt. is not acting in accordance to the central directives as well as the state notification which the state itself have enacted.
The ANPSTA delegates also stressed on the issue of the present situation in the state where all the training centres are being paralysed as the undergoing trainees are not willing to attend the training courses since the state have not created any avenues for the trained teachers as such the training course is of no value but a “keenful selective murder of citizens”.
According to a press note issued by Akhobu Veswu General Secretary ANPSTA, the Central Govt (MHRD) also commented that the state without seeking any relaxation from the central govt. had conducted the examination which is also against the law as teachers’ eligibility test is not relaxable even by the central govt. but the state has conducted the examination in violation of all the central acts, which is null and void.
The Central Govt. has also assured the ANPSTA delegates that the MHRD will table the issue at the earliest and give strict directives to the State Govt.
