An action plan for clean election campaign has been framed during a one day seminar on clean election organized by youth department, Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) in association with Administrative Training Institute (ATI) on July 5 last. According to the action plan, every Association Youth Department under NBCC will set up a Working Committee for Clean Election. There will be a state wide Prayer & Fasting day on August 11. A state wide rally will be held in October for which date and modalities will be finalized by the NBCC Youth Core Committee.

According to the action plan, every Association Youth Department under NBCC will set up a Working Committee for Clean Election. There will be a state wide Prayer & Fasting day on August 11. The action plan also stated that every association will put up at least 10 Billboards or Banners for Clean Election with the logo, presently used by NBCC Working Committee on Clean Election. (NBCC Logo with thumb impression). Further, there will be SMS Campaign with 2000 youth volunteers to give at least 30 sms/volunteers.
Every Association will organize seminars on Clean Election in their own Associations and the Churches under them as much as possible so as to educate the public with the Election Code of Conduct, Role of Christians in Elections and the Do’s and Don’ts during elections.
Further, it stated that the NBCC youth and all the associations under it will also work in partnership with other Church groups, students’ Unions, Youth organizations and will also reach out to the ‘un-churched.’ The campaign will also be carried out through the print as well as the electronic mode in a big scale, it added.
