State team wins All Assam Angling Competition
Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): The 2nd All Assam Angling competition was held in Nagaon, Assam, to mark the National Fish Farmers Day on July 10, 2012. The competition was organised by Jasingfaa Resort Management, Nagaon, Assam. A press note issued to the media stated that the Nagaland team was represented by Bablu Das, Vikashe zhimo, Mulato Sema and Nikato Sema.
The note mentioned that in the competition, Bablu Das from Nagaland took the prize of the biggest fish landed, with a 1.55 Kg fish variety known as Pacu, scientific name: Colossoma Macropomum, grows upto 3.3 feet in length and having its origin in the Amazon.
The Chief Guest for the competition was the D.C of Nagaon and the competition had participation from Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Nagaland.
