I5 days Sadbhavana Diwas launched
Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): NYKS Nagaland Zone is observing “Sadbhavana Diwas”, a fortnight long programmes on occasion of the birthday of Lt. Rajiv Gandhi, the then Prime minister of India. This year August 20 is a holiday on account of Idu’l Filter on top of that August 18 to 19 is being Saturday and Sunday. In this regards Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport Government of India has decided to observe the Sadbhavana Diwas on August 17 in a befitting manner across the Country. This was informed in a press note issued by Kh.Ibohanbi Singh, Zonal Director NYKS, Nagaland.
NYKS Nagaland zone also observed Sadbhavana Diwas on August 17 at Mount Tabor jubilee hall Kohima Nagaland with youths. The Fortnight Programmes will begin from August 20 till September 3 as “Communal Harmony Fortnight” in all the NYKs Districts of Nagaland with various youth programmes.
On the opening day Kh Ibohanbi Singh Zonal Director NYKS Nagaland Zone, administered Sadbhavana Pledge to the officials and youth leaders under NYKS. Launching the 15 days long programme on communal Harmony Fortnight for all NYKs Mentor Youth Clubs and outstanding best youth Clubs of all the districts of Nagaland. He asked all the youths to pay tributes to the most cherished memory of Late Rajiv Gandhi by undertaking different social service programmes and propagating the message of peace and communal Harmony at the blocks and District levels.
He also stressed the need to understand the 21st Century, in which India is yet to face many development challenges such as eradication of illiteracy, improvement of employment avenues and expansion of Health Services where our Youth Clubs can play a vital role. These challenges can only be met if India is united and says no to violence and communal hatred he stated.
During the communal Harmony Fortnight the districts NYKs will organize other programmes like Prabhat Pheri, Sarv Dharm, All Religion Prayer, Tree plantation cum Cleanliness drive and Youth Convention through selected youth clubs and Mentor youth clubs under the District Youth Coordinators of NYKs Nagaland Zone.
