Nagaland Sepak Takraw team qualifies for National Games
Dimapur, January 8 (MExN): Nagaland's senior Sepak Takraw team has yet again brought laurels to the state in the recently concluded 20th Senior National Championship held at Delhi from December 29, 2009 to January 1, 2010. The women's team won two Bronze medals in the team and Double events. The man’s team secured 7th position out of a pool of 27 participating states including SAI. & SSB. Both men's and women's teams of the state have qualified for the forth coming National Games to be held in Jharkhand.
In further exciting news six state players (three men and three women) made it into the Indian camp for the Asiad China 2010. An intensive coaching camp will be held in four phases in Goa, Imphal, Hyderabad and Delhi.
State Sepak Takraw coach, Holshe Khrieo has informed that the selected players are: Zashevoto Pusa, Hopson Sumi, Viseyie Koso, Netolu Medeo, Pungotolu Puro and Thenukesau Tsira.
