ASA 41st wrestling meet from Feb 16

Kohima, February 8 (MExN): The Angami Sports Association (ASA) will hold its 41st wrestling meet 2012 from February 16 to 17 at Kohima Local Ground. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will be the chief guest while guest of honour will be MLA K.V. Pusa. The inaugural function will start from 10:00 AM onwards. ASA president Er. Kropol Vitsu will deliver presidential address while lighting of tournament torch will be done by Megosier Khate, reigning champion ASA. ASA wrestling secretary Zasivoto Rote will administer oath to the wrestlers.
The champion in Naga style wrestling will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1.20 lakh sponsored by Mengutuo Rio and Vibeilietuo Kets, runners up- Rs. 80,000 jointly sponsored by Zenohol Thapo, Nolengol Neikha, Dr. Kedise Pucho and Thepfuzhalie (Jack) Pfüdilhou. Prize for third and fourth place is set at Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000 sponsored by M. Chasie and Lhusituo Khro respectively. Further, quarter finalists will get Rs. 5000 each. The winner is free style (senior) will be awarded with Rs. 50000 and runners up will get Rs. 3000. In free style (junior), Rs. 3000 is set for Ist and Rs. 2000 for 2nd.
