Champions MDVFA accorded warm homecoming

Mokokchung, February 14 (MExN): Champions Mokokchung District Veteran Football Association (MDVFA) was accorded a befitting reception at Hotel Metsupen by the MDVFA here this evening. The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Lithrongla G Chishi, SP Sonia Singh and AKM officials
were also present at the reception programme held in honour of the homecoming champions who lifted the 4th Nagaland Veteran Inter-District Football Tournament after defeating the Nagaland Police VFA in a tie-breaker 4-1 at Kohima.
The Mokokchung DC, Lithrongla G Chishi, while speaking at the programme, highly lauded the MDVFA for bringing laurels to the district. Saying that Nagaland Police was the most formidable team in the tournament, Chishi said that it was great achievement for the MDVFA in defeating the defending champions. She encouraged the MDVFA not to let this win be the last, but strive hard to bring such laurels and success even in the future.
Mokokchung SP Sonia Singh also spoke on the same line and encouagred the MDVFA to keep the wining spirit alive and to keep strongly grasp the champions’ trophy and retain even in the future.
The Addl. SP of Mokokchung, Shiluwapang chaired the programme. MDVFA officials also spoke at the programme while the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang officials presented bouquets of flower to the players.
