Naga official to lead Indian badminton team

Kohima, February 15 (DIPR): Nagaland Badminton State Coach and Vice-President, Nagaland Badminton Association (NBA), Tali Jamir has been nominated by the Badminton Association of India to lead the Indian National team a Manager to Iran and Austria. The National Badminton team is leaving for Tehran today, 15th February 2012 to represent India at the Iran Fajr International Challenge from 16th - 19th February 2012 and thereafter at the Austrian International Challenge 2012 from 22nd - 25th February 2012 at Vienna, Austria. The National team comprises of 14 players and two coaches besides the Manager, Tali Jamir.
Besides being the State Coach and Vice- President of NBA, Tali Jamir is the former State and NEHU Badminton Champion for several years during the 70s and early 80s. He is a regular player even today and is credited with bringing up several State players in the game.
