Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): The lack of basic amenities in the schools of remote villages of Dimapur district has often posed hindrance in providing overall development of the students, stated a press note issued by the AR.
Taking a stride forward to nurture the budding sportsmen at the young age in schools, 29 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 5 Sector Assam Rifles of IGAR (North) presented sports equipment to Nihokhu Area Sports Association as a part of Assam Rifles Military Civic Action Project. This included sports equipment for volley ball, cricket, football including kits and dresses. The sports equipment shall definitely facilitate in honing the talent amongst the budding sportsmen. The assistance rendered was appreciated by all in the village and brought smiles to the young boys.
