Through this association NPL’s clearly evident intention of being the next generation of football is brought to light considering YouthNet, is a Non-profit organization formed in the year 2006 which is out and out youth centric with its activities and has been in the forefront of adding force to the voice of the youth in the State. It can be noted that they are instrumental in putting into action the RTI Act of 2005 in the State and more enterprisingly providing many opportunities for youth in the State. More importantly YouthNet's vision is to provide a platform for youth in the state whether it is by creating awareness to employment support programs or being People's right activists to mentoring young Nagas. Similarly, being an associate partner in the opening ceremony would mean that the management wants to focus on youth empowerment and YouthNet is one such organisation have been in the forefront of youth empowerment in the state for quite sometime now.
Based on this principle, NPL has its dreams deeply rooted for the youth and community development through Football. Thus the NPL management considers the association as a privilege and regards YouthNet as the most fitting organization to fortify its pursuit of being a league which benefits the youth in the State on many fronts. Being an endeavour pioneered by young individuals NPL boasts of a conglomeration of youngsters who have been roped in by the management and each one is exploiting the opportunities created by the league. The opening ceremony is all set to witness how young individuals are setting a benchmark in Nagaland to bring about changes.
Through the alliance conceived with YouthNet NPL expects to grow by leaps and bounds and be able to create more awareness as a venture that is directed to the youth. This is our generation and YouthNet's association is a first step set forth to connect with all like minded organisations and start making changes. The opening ceremony will see Shillong Lajong FC play an exhibition match along with the introduction of the 10 NPL teams. So as we start a new generation for football in the state, we want everyone to support the league and the initiatives that the Management would take in the future with YouthNet, the 10 NPL clubs and other like minded organisations.
