NCD flays violence, urge NPGs for restraint

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 22 (MExN): Expressing concern over the recent inter-factional killing and stand-off, the Naga Council Dimapur has urged the Naga Political Groups (NPGs) to exercise restraint.

A press release from NCD questioned the conduct of the NPGs while lamenting that in the name of Naga movement, the state has become marred by factionalism and violence, infighting among leaders leading to emergence of new groups and factions.

Condemning the “gangster attitude, combat operation against each other, killing people in front of family members and children,” the NCD said it was high time the NPGs strictly discipline its respective cadre and members.
