NPYC discusses party issues with DYCD

Dimapur, September 19 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) committee held an extended executive meeting with District Youth Congress Dimapur (DYCD) at the Conference Hall of Dimapur District Congress Committee (DDCC) on September 19 in the presence of Sarifa Rehman, Indian Youth Congress Secretary. 


A press release issued by the NPYC stated that Sarifa Rehman, Indian Youth Congress (IYC) Secretary encouraged the youth Congress workers and said that there is so much to do even when in opposition. She encouraged the party workers to do constructive things which will benefit the society as well as strengthen the party. She further urged the Youth Congress to take up local issues, and also assured the full support from the IYC. Rehman highlighted the decisions taken at the IYC Meeting which includes monthly executive meeting of the DYC from 5-10 of every month and review meeting from 10-15 of every mont; enrolment drive; reshuffling of committees; social media and party training and any programme to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. She expressed hope that the NPYC will grow stronger in the days to come, the release said.


Vilhousielie Kenguruse, President NPYC highlighted the activities undertaken by the Committee and urged the office bearers to be bold enough to face any kind of challenges. He briefed the house that the NPYC will be bringing up some very serious issue and called upon the Dimapur DYC to be prepared for such eventualities. He further stressed on the need to strengthen all the District Youth Congress Committee. 


The meeting began with an invocation by X Chophika Sumi, State Co-coordinator Social Media NPCC and was followed by a round of introduction. Jonathan VP, NPCC and Tsenthungo Acting Presidentm DCC who attended the programme also exhorted the party workers in their short speeches, the release added.
