IMFL seized from Ward 13

Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): The excise personnel under the direct supervision of assistant commissioner of excise (Enf) today conducted combine raid consisting of district, Narcotic and mobile squad at Ward 13, where by-election to the Dimapur Municipal Council is stated to held on September 5, and seized a total of 295 bottles of IMFL and beer of different brands. In this connection, four persons were arrested and penalized as per the relevant section of Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act 1989, stated Pitongse Sangtam, Superintendent of Excise and Prohibition.

Drug, IMFL seized  

Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): The Excise Narcotic check gate duty party at New Field Dimapur under the command of Jimmy and Chuba, AIE along with Senlamo, head constable, Akong, Yekuto, Yanglo, Khumeng, Hetovi, Abel and Ajungla, constables in a tip off seized 289 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon on September 4, and arrested one Toshi Longchar for illegal possession in violation of D&C Act 1940. In another incident on September 2 last, the same party seized 204 bottles of IMFL with the active help of some IRB jawans. In this connection, three persons were arrested and booked under relevant section of D&C Act 1940 and NLTP Act 1989 for illegal possession and trafficking of liquor, stated Alem Ao, Deputy Commissioner of Excise (NC), Dimapur.

Naga women hoho thanks  

Dimapur, September 4 (MExN):  The Naga Women Hoho expresses gratitude to the district administration and police for providing Security, the Naga Council, DNSU and students, GBs and DBs forum, Naga Mother Association, Baptist Union Fellowship, DMC ‘for providing water’ and Parliamentary Secretary Y.Patton, Ditho-ü Council and all the participants of the rally. “This Rally is not the end of our demand. Naga Women Hoho will continue to work for the cause of women in our society” a message from the hoho stated.

KBYF informs on prayer service and fellowship

Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): The monthly prayer fellowship of Kohima Baptist Youth Fellowship (KBYF) will be held on September 6 at Koinonia Baptist Church, Kezieke at 7:00 am. The combined service will be held on the same day at Peraciezie Baptist Church, Jihj School junction, from 3:00 pm onwards with Levino Liegise, Student Counselor of Alder College Kohima, as the main speaker. Secretary KBYF, Kenei, has therefore requested all the Youth Directors of Baptist Churches within Kohima to attend the prayer service and the combined fellowship along with their youth department members.
 
More condemn August 27 rape

TDMA
The Tuensang District Mother Association (TDMA) condemned the rape of a pregnant woman by four youths near Showuba Village in Dimapur. In a note received here, TDMA president, Y Alep Chang, on behalf of the Association requested the concerned authority to bring the culprits to book and give them capital punishment as per the law. The Association also stated that this kind of savage work in the Naga society was intolerable.

YWO
The Yimchunger Women Organisation (YWO) strongly condemned the ‘inhuman act’ on a pregnant woman by four youths on August 27. YWO demands the highest degree of punishment to the culprits as an exemplary action to curb the menacing moral degradation of Naga society. YWO President, Alula Thsanso, in a note stated, “Nevertheless, the irresponsible GBs who tried to settle the matter by violating women prerogative should also be arrested for further questioning, because it is a great insult to the womenfolk in truest sense.” Failing to comply, the Organisation warned, it would initiate any course of action until justice was delivered.

TPSU, Kohima campus parting social on Sept 6

Kohima, September 2 (MExN): Tenyimi Post Graduate Students Union, Kohima campus will hold its parting social on September 6 at Baptist High auditorium at 11:00 AM. Mhiesizokho Zinyu, President Angami Public Organization (APO) will grace the occasion as the chief guest. All Tenyimi students have been asked to attend the function compulsorily. A fine of Rs. 200 will be imposed against the absentees. All the second semester students have been directed to reach the venue latest by 10:30 AM.
