NSGEWA to withdraw their ‘dependants’ from NSF
Kohima, October 15 (MExN): The Nagaland Senior Government Employees Welfare Association (NSGEWA) members have decided to “withdraw their children/dependants (Students) from the membership of NSF”, if circumstances compel them to do so.
Thungjamo Ovung general secretary of NSGEWA in a press note stated that it has been decided at a meeting held on October 8 at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima.
The note stated that in the meeting the house decided over the membership fees/contribution. The fees were structured according to the class of the employee: class IV non gazetted – Rs 1000, class III non gazetted – Rs 2000, class II gazetted - Rs 4000 and class I gazetted – Rs 5000.
Moreover, it also resolved to take an undertaking by all the members who are “immediately affected from 2009 to 2011”.
The representatives from all the districts of the state attended the meeting – approximately 187 delegates. The meeting was presided over by the chairman of the association, Roko Pier. He delivered his welcome address to all the members and also various speakers shared their views and opinion on the issue,
