Forest guard trainees’ Arunachal Pradesh, Assam tour concluded



Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): The State Environment & Forestry Training Institute, Nagaland, Dimapur had conducted a six-day study tour to Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. The 32nd batch of forest guards trainees have visited among others; Biological Park and State Forest Research Institute in Itanagar, Bambusetum in Chessa, Apatani Bamboo Plantations & Pine regeneration in Ziro, Orchid Research Centre in Tipi, Ranganadi Hydro power project in Yazali etc.
In a communiqué issued by the SEFTI, Director Imtiwabang, expressed gratitude to officials of Arunachal Forest Department with special thanks to Dr. K Kire IFS, Conservator of Forests (Western Circle) A.P; Dr. A N Rao, Orchidologist, Dr. S P Singh, Ecologist & Dr. RK Taj, SFRI; Ona Abang, Asst. Orchidologist, Keto Basar R.O, Orchid Research Centre, Tipi; Er. N K Mao, General Manager (E), Er. K T Ovung, Assistant Manager(E); Er.
R R Solo (E/M); R S Yaduvanshi Senior Manager (Security) of NEEPCO, Ranganadi Hydro-project and other staff for their logistic support and technical guidance during the tour. He also thanked the DFO, Bokakhat Division D Gogoi and his staff for
all help and support during
the visit to Kaziranga National Park.
