NCS cadre be inducted to IAS earlier: Imchen
Kohima | November 26 : Echoing with other opinions, home minister Imkong L Imchen also felt that the induction of NCS cadre to IAS be at the younger age. Speaking at the cultural programme of the golden jubilee celebration of Nagaland Civil Service Association (NCSA) here today, Imchen maintained that starting from EAC, they have already learn a lot of experiences and can handle the cross section of people.
He was appreciative the NCS for serving and feeding the people of the state.
Lauding the commendable services being rendered by NCS officers to the people of the state, he admitted that they are backbone of the state, dealing with the grassroots level.
Stating that they are playing linkage to cross section of the people, he said that through their sacrifices, tolerance and patience, Nagaland has come thus far. Desiring them to pay special attention to centrally sponsored schemes, Imchen said they should not sign the progress report unless they are satisfied.
Earlier, Commissioner & Secretary HK Khulu, IAS said the process of the cadre review by the government would open wider horizon and will bring a lot of scope to NCS officers. He opined that the induction of NCS officers into IAS must be at the younger age so that that they can discharge their duties effectively. Khulu was also appreciative of the government for taking a lot of initiative in terms of infrastructure and mobility.
Gugs Chishi, project director, Music Task Force enthralled the gathering with a live performance on NCS anthem where lyrics and music was composed by him titled: “Nagaland - Journey to Peace.”
