The Morung Express :: Nagaland News | Current News | Latest News | Breaking News: Formation of Naga students federation of Changlang district Formation of Naga students federation of Changlang district ================================================================================ morungexpress on February 21, 2012 12:33:00 Dimapur, February 20 (MExN): A general meeting was held at Changlang H.q dated February 18, 2012 for the formation of ‘Naga students Federation of Changlang District’(NSFCD),which in itself is an oldest students organisations of North-East, also an affiliate of All India Students Federation, under the Chairmanship of Samngam Ngemu, one of the senior Public Leader of Changlang district and other renowned social workers, public leaders, students and educated youths were also present. During the meeting it was unanimously agreed to form the said organisation of all tribes and sub-tribes of Changlang district. At the meeting the Chairman highlighted the aims and objectives of NSFCD as a wholesome student’s organisation which shall be landmarked in the annals of Tangsa Naga of Arunachal Pradesh. He further explained that it is a matter of pride and honour to be a part of pan-Naga students Federation. The General Secretary, NPF Arunachal State Unit Happa Taidong also graced the meeting and advised the house to work heart and soul for the social upliftment of Tangsa- Naga people residing at Changlang district, he promised that he will support and assist all possible ends for the success of the said organisation. An adhoc executive committee was selected by a general consensus of following names and portfolios: President, MAIHU MAMAI, MA Hons,’( MPhil),General secretary, SHUNGKHAN MOSSANG, BA, B.ED(Hindi Hons’) ,Asst. G/Secretary, PHOSAM ZONGSAM, BA, Spokesperson , MAIKHUN MAMAI, BA. Also while giving the vote of thanks, Tosham Mossang, NPF President Arunachal State Unit appreciated the warm gathering for the initiatives of student community and public leaders and social workers for the zeal to think and work for society under the greater nomenclature through which a true bond of culture/ ethnic affinity could be established for future generation, a message of peace and harmony in hill districts of Naga inhabited areas. Further the house decided to convene a grand general meeting on the month of March 2012 to solemnise fully all rank and file of all the executive members.
