NSCN (IM) respond to ZUF statement

Dimapur, July 5 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) today in a press statement issued to the media said, “It is something common to find frustrated elements, young as well as old, in national political struggle. And naturally such people drifted away easily at the call of some frustrated political leaders with the sole objective of performing the assigned role as an obstructionist forces but under the garb of political group. And it is no strange how and where they get the supply line for weapons”.

The note also alleged that Assam Rifles forces who are adept in playing divisive game ever since it came into existence to tackle the Northeast political struggle make use of such group with unfailing precision.  
Moreover, it stated that other anti-Naga revolutionary forces also find such forces to counter-weight the Naga political movement spearheaded by NSCN.

The note further stateted “It is unfortunate that to find the rise of Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) under the garb of defending Zeliangrong interests. However, its actions failed to reflect such agenda other than rubbing the NSCN the wrong way."

"The Haochong incident where they targetted innocent village leaders is a pure reflection of people not approving their deceptive agenda of ZUF. In frustration the village social leaders were beaten up in the most inhuman manner. What else for the ZUF to do but to attack anyone who supported NSCN”,  stated the press note.
