Condolences, on Zirose Sangtam’s demise
NSMDC
The Nagaland Legislative Assembly has expressed shock over the untimely demise of Zirose Sangtam Assistant Commandant, 11 NAP of Yingphire Village under Kiphire district, on September 2, 2008 at Dimapur. Zirose Sangtam was one of the youngest among the Sangtam to hold the post of Assistant Commandant. After completing his NPSC exam and physical training as DSP, he was posted in a worse Maoist dominated state of Chattisgarh, he returned back safe after successfully carrying out his mission assigned to him by the government of Nagaland. NSMDC Chairman C. Kipili Sangtam in a condolence note expressed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed to Almighty to keep his soul to rest in peace.
SASU
The Seyochung Area Students’ Union (SASU) has condoled the sudden demise of Zirose Sangtam, Assistant Commandant, 11 NAP on September 2, 2008 at Dimapur after a road accident near T.K service station at 9:30 PM. “In his death, Sangtam community in particular and the Nagas in general have lost our great leader who always tirelessly rendered his valuable services to the upliftment of the societies not only in his department,” the Union said in a condolence message received here. The Union also conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
ENGOA
“In his death the people of Eastern Nagaland in particular have lost an energetic and sincere officer. He was known as a young officer who had the determination and the efficiency towards the promotion of his service to the people of Nagaland, which in turn brought laurels to his society,” the Eastern Nagaland Gazetted Officers’ Association (ENGOA) said in another condolence message received here. The ENGOA also prayed that “may Almighty God comfort his loved ones at this time of deep sorrow and also prays for the departed soul to rest in peace.”
YVSU
In a separate message, the Yingphire Village Students’ Union (YVSU) also said the death of S.L. Zirose Sangtam is a great loss for the village and Sangtams as a whole. The Union also conveyed condolence message to bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
USLB
The United Sangtam Likhum Bumji expressed bereaved over the demise of Lt Zirose Sangtam DSP and feels that his death has caused a great loss to the Sangtam Community particularly and Nagas in general. “His zeal and sincerity in his assigned duties shown during his short span of service besides receiving Governors Award will always be cherished,” USLB General Secretary C. Sashi Naga said in another condolence message. The USLB convey heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and prays for the departed soul to rest in peace.
ENPUD
Eastern Naga People’s Union Dimapur (ENPUD) has condoled the sudden demise of Zerose Sangtam, who was an active member of the Union and always extended support for the welfare of the Union. The Union General Secretary A. Mosa Konyak on behalf of the Union condoles the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
