Continuing with the debate and adoption of the motion of thanks to the Governor's address, Minister of Higher and Technical Education Temjen Imna Along lauded the Governor's address as noteworthy and visionary.

“By going through the RIIN, the issuance of any privileges and entitlement to non-indigenous people in Nagaland will be curbed in a better way. Those indigenous people living in every nook and corner of the State, their rights, entitlements and privileges may be protected for many generations to come,” said Along urging for a speedy conduct of the RIIN.

While welcoming the introduction of ILP regulation in Dimapur, Along also urged the government to regulate the permit in the best possible way without hurting the sentiments of other communities.

On the introduction of the Teachers diary, Along noted that "it is an endeavor to build our rich human resource of the children starting from the school itself."

While, the NAAC has been a big challenge, the Minister informed that the government has been able to accredit almost 26 colleges, which is one of the achievements of the government. On the government polytechnics, Along informed that Nagaland has been able to file NBA last year for the Kohima Polytechnic, so that it will be eligible to start full-fledged engineering college. Along assured that the government is exploring more avenues for resources generation to fund for more developmental activities in the State.

Speaking against the CAA, MLA Imtiwapang Aier cited the imbroglio emerging across the country. “It has been criticised by legal luminaries and leaders because it is a threat to unity. India is burning all because of this Act which is affecting the International community too. In what way are we exempted or protected? So far I don't get the answer in what way are we being protected from the Act,” stated Aier. In a State which has witnessed peace in recent years, Aier questioned why the Center has extended AFSPA for another six months, and for what reason. “Even the PM had mentioned that insurgency has decreased. We have to go against this draconian law. If the State is peaceful why apply this law again,” said Aier.

Aier further suggested the Government and the concerned department to organise an under 15 tournament for young sportspeople to strengthen their skills and enable them to be at par with the rest of the country with the condition and criteria that only indigenous player from their respective district enter in the list of players.

On the Naga Political Solution, Tongpang Ozukum, Minister of Housing urged for the solidarity of all Nagas especially the stakeholders as Nagas anticipate the final inking of the settlement. Acknowledging the decision of the government on the enforcement of ILP in Dimapur, Ozukum expressed hope that the public cooperate with the implementing agencies to fulfill the desired goal.

On the CAA, Ozukum replied, “As a member of the PDA, I am with the decision of PDA.” Further Ozukum clarified talks about references of his association with the NSF over the issue of CAA which he urged people not to 'malign the good office of NSF'. “Let us not discuss about the NSF in this August House or if I might have hurt their sentiments, I'm sorry for that but NSF is a pressure group and I did what I had to do,” said Ozukum.

MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu putting attention to the NPSC, Nienu urged the government to set up an independent enquiry committee or refer to the case of Lokayukta. “You must use your power judiciously in trying to deliver good and justice to the people. Let us try to do something for humanity. Let us try to rise above our tribe and constituency,” said Nienu.
