Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): Skill development programme for unemployed youth Batch 30 was inaugurated at Don Bosco Tech AIDA centre on August 21.


Sedevilie Angami, President, Dimapur Naga Student Union (DNSU) graced the occasion as the special guest.

 Speaking on the occasion, Sedevilie said, “You may not have what others have in terms of qualification and knowledge, but with the help of Don Bosco Tech if you try your best and continue to work hard you will be successful persons one day. Your determination will take you to greater heights.”


Sunny, Regional head Don Bosco Tech Dimapur Region shared about Don Bosco Tech and the skill development programme that started in 2010 for the less educated, unemployed youth. He informed the gathering that Don Bosco Tech AIDA has trained and placed more than 2200 youth. He said, “Though our candidates are with low education qualification we have been able to place them in reputed companies across the country.”


“Nearly 20 alumni of Don Bosco Tech AIDA centre are working abroad in various international hotels and cruise lines”, he informed while encouraging the trainees to “move out of comfort zone and face challenges”. 


Don Bosco Tech provides skill training to unemployed youth in a number of domains across India. They collaborate with NSDC and various Sector Skill Councils for assessment and certification. Skill development programme for unemployed youth, batch 30 began on July 22, 2019 with domains – Hospitality Food and beverage Service Steward and Assistant Beauty Therapist. 


A press note stated that Longertemsu chaired the programme. Shone and friends presented a prayer Song followed by welcome speech by Kevisekho. Trainees also presented Nocte folk dance.
