A new dental clinic – Dentistree Rendezvous, Dental Clinic and Implant Centre – was opened in Dimapur. The clinic is located in Midland, across the road from Dimapur Club, and was inaugurated by the Minister for Water Resources, Tongpang Ozukum on May 24.
The clinic was opened by Dr Wangshimenba, a product of King George Medical College, Lucknow. Dr Wangshimenba said that he has over ten years of experience in the dental profession since starting working as fresh BDS gradute at a private hospital in 2012. He went on to open his own private clinic in 2016 to gradually expand the facilities and upgrade equipments and move to a more spacious location. “This is a new chapter and this, hopefully, would lead to bigger things,” he said.
Minister Ozukum expressed happiness at Dr Wangshimenba persevering and progressively growing from a humble beginning, while rendering his expertise to the public. According to him, dental care was hardly a concern for Nagas not many years ago, but today, the people are getting more and more conscious of dental health. While it will be a challenge, he said that one way of improving services would be working towards reducing waiting time for appointments.
