Dimasa Naisho Hosom appeals to maintain peace & tranquillity

Dhansiripar, February 22 (MExN): The Dimasa Naisho Hosom (DNH), Dhansiripar sub-division has appealed to the supporters and volunteers of all contending candidates of Dimapur III constituency to maintain peace and tranquillity in the Dimasa villages.

In a press release, DNH Media Cell stated that setting up of camps/offices brings only tensions amongst the villagers and workers of different candidates which are un-necessary. “The stray incidents of manhandling village leaders and damaging public property by miscreants has been reported need not happen further,” it maintained.

The DNH stated that instead of coercion and intimidation to the voters or village elders, peoples’ heart should be won by explaining the advantages and disadvantages of electing candidates.

“Dimasas minority status is not to be taken advantages of by anybody for suppression of their rights and desires,” it cautioned.

Further, it said that the Clean Election needs to be put into practice by all supporters/volunteers of contending candidates and also appealed to Government functionaries to help maintain law and order in the area during the electioneering.
