The LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate from 5 Ghaspani II Assembly Constituency, Kitoho S Rotokha expressed confidence in the party making a strong presence in the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly. Addressing an election rally in Medziphema town on February 20, Rotokha predicted that the LJP (Ram Vilas) party, with a strong list of contenders, including himself, will win at least 10 seats out of the 16 candidates the party is fielding.

While claiming that he has been working for the people of his constituency well before the elections were even announced, he said that other candidates have only been issuing false promises. He urged the people to have faith in him and promised to work for the grassroots.

Rotokha then criticized his opponents and highlighted that they have nothing substantial to offer. He stated that one of his opponents was a bureaucrat who has already served two terms but did nothing, while the other was a big contractor who has lived life being spoon-fed. In contrast, he said that he came up from the grassroots, one who is well aware of the needs of the people.

He also criticized the promise of investing Rs 7 crore in Medziphema town, claiming that it was a mere appeasement tactic. According to him, he is the right man for the job and is contesting the election well aware of the challenges faced by the people of his constituency. While claiming that the people have faith in his ability, he added that he was banking on the sympathy of the grassroots people and the conscience vote of the electorate to give him a win with a huge margin against his two opponents.

He emphasized that the elections are not about divisive politics but about bringing people together for the general welfare of all, irrespective of clan or community.
