Dimapur businessman donates 10k face mask

Prominent businessman and social worker, Basu Damani and his family have donated 10,000 triple- ply face masks for the poor and needy citizens of Dimapur. The face masks were handed over to Dimapur District GBs Association, Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation, GBs Union Dimapur and Dimapur Village Council Chairmen Association at the office of Medico, Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur on May 23.
The face masks were handed over by Nagaland Medicine Dealers’ Association, President, Ato Yepthomi.
Speaking at a brief programme, Basu said that his family decided to make the donation through the four organizations since they were equally important in carrying out humanitarian activities to the poor and needy besides the administration and police which are rendering their best services. He thanked the civil societies for taking the responsibility to distribute the masks and assured them of every possible assistance in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Basu also informed that he would arrange such masks at a subsidized rate for any organization requiring it.
Meanwhile, representatives of the four organizations expressed gratitude to Basu Damani for generously contributing the face masks of upper and lower layer material and inner layer for air filtration with nose pin.
