KVC reiterates Clean Election

Kohima, April 16 (MExN): The Kohima Village Council (KVC) has reiterated its earlier resolution adopted on February 2, 2023, for the conduct of "Clean Election" throughout its entire jurisdiction of Kohima village during the upcoming Lok Sabha election in Nagaland on April 19.

Accordingly, the KVC issued a “resolute information” requesting all the electorate of various polling stations lying within its traditional jurisdiction to adhere to the electoral system with the "Clean Election" rules and conduct on the polling day. In case any individual, group, or political party is found indulging in any electoral malpractice that may infringe upon the principles of "Clean Election" as resolutely affirmed by the KVC, the Council shall not hesitate to take disciplinary stern action against such miscreants at any moment, it cautioned.

In a press release from its Press and Media Secretary, Thejao Sekhose, the KVC thus requested each and every elector whose names are enlisted in the electoral roll to compulsorily cast their franchise to elect the most competent leader to Lok Sabha.
