Land Resources welcomes Advisor G Ikuto Zhimomi

Kohima, March 31 (MExN): The Department of Land Resources, Nagaland held a felicitation programme for Advisor, G Ikuto Zhimomi at the Directorate of Land Resources on March 31. 

The programme was chaired by Additional Director &HoD, Albert Ngullie and welcome address was delivered by Vikeyie Kenya, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Land Resources Department, stated a press  release received here. 

Advisor, G Ikuto Zhimomi in his address stated that the whole State fall under rain-fed area category. “The department’s role is very critical and relevant for rain-fed region in bringing about economic transformation in rural areas through promotion of various commercial & agricultural crops. He lauded the department in two parameters; performance and outcome and that had made the department stood out in its performance,” he stated. “This is in spite of being a small department in the State under agri & allied sector, both in terms of manpower and financial resources,” Zhimomi added. 

He encouraged the department officials and more so the field officers to keep up the commendable works and continue to make impact on the lives of the rural populace of the state.
