Nagaland Assembly to go 70% paperless upcoming session

Kohima, February 24 (MExN): Continuing the digital push introduced in 2022, 70% of the upcoming 4th Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) will be conducted in a paperless environment within the legislative proceedings. Accordingly, the NLA Secretariat will no longer provide hard copies of the List of Business (LoB), Annual Administrative Reports, Questions, and Replies to Questions on the table of the House, stated an official release by Khruohituonuo Rio, Secretary-in-Charge, NLA Secretariat. Instead, these documents will be available for download on the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) website and mobile app on the specific days they are listed for, it said.  This paperless transition will also apply to all media houses and personnel, it added.  The NLA adopted the NeVA on March 19, 2022, during the Eleventh Session of the 13th House, reportedly becoming the first state Assembly in the country to operationalise the application.
