Nimok Power Gym at Ataraxia Building in Upper Agri Colony Kohima was inaugurated today by Veyielo Doulo, Director, Tourism Nagaland as guest of honour.

Addressing the programme, he expressed his happiness about the new venture and stressed the need to keep oneself healthy. He pointed out that a gym can help a person in different ways, shaping a person’s physique and muscles, while also helping combat obesity, supporting cardiovascular health, controlling blood pressure, and preventing other diseases. He stated that a gym can make a person healthy and wealthy, adding that when a person is healthy, that person is also bound to be wealthy.

The Director also congratulated the Thenyizumi people for producing and nurturing champions in the arena of sports, who have brought laurels to the Naga community and the Chakhesang in particular, at national and international levels.

Doulo mentioned that wrestling is conducted on various platforms these days and stressed the need to take up wrestling as a profession, encouraging wrestlers and sportspersons to take it seriously.

Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by Zazhota Dawhuo, a special song was presented by Vetholu Rhakho and invocation was said by Chisazo Dawhuo, Deacon of CBCK. Vote of thanks was given by Samuel Kapuh, and the programme was led by Kepozo Kapuh. A dedicatory prayer with a pronouncement of blessing was done by Rev Fr Vemedo Kezo, Parish Priest, Cathedral Kohima.

The proprietor, Venuzo Dawhuo also spoke at the programme.
