The Mind Blowers Club will be organizing the Northeast Summer Festival on June 20 and 21, 2011 at Dimapur club ground from 4:00 Pm onwards. The highlights for the programs are 7 Edition of the Nagaland art and fusion contest grand finale on June 20 and northeast art fusion contest on June 21. The contestants for the NE contest are Alice in Wonderland band 2010 winner from Kohima and 2011 winner which is to be held on June 21, 2011.
It was mentioned in a press release that 15 bands has been selected for the semi final round through the screening test which was held last April. Out of which 7 bands will be selected for Grand Finale through public voting, and the judges will judge them accordingly from their performance for the final event. The last date for the voting of favorite bands for semi final will be June 15, 2011 all the concerned card holders are requested to submit their cards latest by this day without fail.
The ID cards for the contestants will be issued on the same day, no contestants will be allowed to enter without ID card. The reporting time is scheduled at 3:00 Pm at the main entry and no entries will be entertained after 4:00Pm. All the contestants are requested to bring their own guitars, drumstick and their other necessary equipments, the organizers will provide a common drum kit and other stage gears. 12 (twelve) mints time is allotted for each band to perform which includes set up and dismantle of the sound system. All the 15 bands will perform on the final night for other category prices and individual prices which will be based on judge points. On the same night the selected 7 semi finalist bands will compete for the winner, runners up and 2 runners up title.
As per public voting the bands selected for the week included Off beats, Black Creepers, Deciet in Chins, Dra 2 Domain and Deafen. Voting cards for the last final results will be available at MBC Office, Encore, Music Ground and Dream Café.
