AKSHAM's workshop on counselling supervision

Kohima, January 21 (MExN):
The AKSHAM, Sub Sub Recipient GFATM- R 7 (India) Counseling Sub Component, Nagaland University, Kohima, Campus Meriema is currently conducting a four day long workshop on Counseling Supervision since January 18 here. The resource persons of the workshop includes; Dr Lungsang Zeliang, FIC,SSR-NU, SAKSHAM, GFATM-R-7, Lobeni Kikon, CBO, SSR-NU,SAKSHAM, GFATM, R-7, Narola Chuba, Asst Prof, NU & Master Trainer, SAKSHAM, SSR-NU, Dr Joyce Angami, Director, NOSSAL, Kohima, Dr Viketoulie, Junior Specialist, Mental Hospital Kohima and Jongpongchiten, State Project Officer, UNDP/NSACS & Master Trainer SAKSHAM,SSR-NU. The workshop will go on till January 21.

Heno inaugurates 5th Shiponger village citizen union

Tuensang, January 21 (DIPR):
The Parliamentary Secretary for Printing, Fisheries, Relief and Rehabilitation, S. Heno inaugurated the 5th Shiponger village citizen union at Shiponger village on January 18. In the inaugural speech, the chief guest called for peace and unity among the villagers and also urged them to maintain peace and tranquility atmosphere with the neighbouring villages and throughout the entire state. He also appealed for the support of the public to achieve total success and implementation of the different programmes and plans of the present DAN government under the able leadership of Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio. Parliamentary Secretary R. Tohanba who was the guest of honour also spoke during the programme. The programme was held in a very rich cultural manner in the presence of all citizen member of Shiponger village.

MSU 47th conference held

Kohima, January 21 (MExN):
Meluri Students’ Union (MSU) held its 47th general conference at Meluri Town from January 4 to 5 last under the theme “Reclaim the past” with ADC Phek, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Nyuthe called upon the students to focus towards attitudinal transition by upholding the traditional values. Meanwhile, the Union has elected its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011-214 with Saturwie Nyusou as president and Chivisie Kajiri as general secretary.

SDO Civil Mon informs on census

Mon, January 21 (DIPR):
SDO Civil Mon Hq. P. Mono Khiam has informed all the concern that the census of the population of Nagaland shall be taken from February 9 to 28 with a revisional round from March to 5 and the reference date as 00:00 hrs of the first day of March 2011.

TVSU selects new team

Dimapur, January 21 (MExN):
The Tsutoho Village Students’ Union (TVSU) has selected a new team for the tenure 2011-2012 with Vitoka V-president, Alibo S-vice president, Ikavi V-general secretary, Nupaka K-finance secretary, Kitoka V-information secretary and Vika H Yeptho- representative to SRSU. TVSU president also informed that the advisors include Yekavi Yeptho, Lika S. Awomi and Kavishe Awomi.  

ZRSU 33rd general conference held

Dimapur, January 21 (MExN):
The 33rd general conference of the Zunheboto Range Students’ Union (ZRSU) was held from January 13 to 16 at Natha Old Village with Khekiho Zhimoi, MP Rajya Sabha as the chief guest. Sumi Hoho, president Hokishe and David Sumi, Deputy Director, AH&V & president CANSSEA were the guest of honours. During the conference, the ZRSU also elected a new team of office bearers comprising of 17 executives for the tenure 2011-2013. The new executive council will be headed by Khuketo Y Yepthomi as president, Ikavi K. Zhimomi as general secretary, Julika N. Achumi, finanace secretary and Inaho K. Achumi as org/secretary.
