The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) finds it pertinent to once again clearly assert its position that we stand for inclusiveness and acceptance of all Nagas based on the historical and political rights of the Nagas. Since the beginning of Naga Reconciliation: A Journey of Common Hope, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation has consistently called for inclusion of all Nagas. And in response to the deep yearning of the Naga people, the top leaders of three Naga political groups signed the Covenant of Reconciliation in June 2009, in which the signatories have reconciled on the basis of the historical and political rights of the Naga people.
The Covenant of Reconciliation was further strengthened with the historic highest level meeting of NSCN/GPRN, NNC/FGN and GPRN/NSCN on September 18, 2010. In the spirit of Naga Reconciliation and for the sake of the Naga future, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation calls upon Naga political groups to embrace the maxim of inclusiveness and acceptance of all Nagas. We encourage the Naga leaders to creatively build hope and mutual respect among Nagas by adopting values of inclusiveness.
On the proposed October 26 Public Rally, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation in the spirit of mutual solidarity implores all Naga political groups and especially Naga apex and tribal organizations, Naga civil society groups, Naga Churches, Naga students and fellow citizens to uphold and reaffirm the commitment we have all made vis-à-vis Naga inclusiveness. Therefore, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation calls all Nagas to firmly stand and work together in cultivating, promoting and building the spirit of inclusiveness through mutual acceptance and forgiveness.
