Dimapur, January 2 (MExN): The ANSTA Phek has alleged that the education department in the district has been accepting the application forms of candidates who have not completed their required qualification for the post of Primary Teacher (P.T) and not as per to the directives of “Advertisement No. ED/MOD/EXAM/2009 Dated Kohima the 15th of Dec 2010”, which appeared in the local dailies for filling up of 36 post of Primary Teacher under Phek district.
“…getting information from the reliable sources that your department has been entertaining the Forms of undergoing B.Ed along with ECCE, That Sir, as per the directive given by the govt. to fill up the following post of P.T basing on the directives, the existing recruitment rules for the post of P.T were to bring them in conformity with the qualification prescribed by the Govt. Dated 15th Dec 2010,” the association stated.
The association in regard to this had written an open letter to the District Education Officer, Phek; Nagaland, District Institute of School, Phek; Nagaland and Board Chairman for the recruitment of PT, which was issued by its president Huveku Keyho, vice-president Zewete Khape, general secretary Rukuwe Wetsah, assistant general secretary Obed Yhobu, treasurer Wetsho-Ü, publicity and information secretary Kerewe-Ü and chairman, action committee Zechete Kreo.
Therefore in the interest of PSTE trained in the larger commitment for improving standard of education, the ANPSTA Phek Unit has demanded 'implementation of recruitment rules directed by the government for the PT should be in Toto, the ECCE deals only with Montessori and ISTE. It is apart from PSTE course. The application should be revoke immediately and the B. Ed candidates with or without certificate should not be entertained as per the eligibility criteria given and the number of vacancies under Phek District has sanctioned nil for the post of Graduate Teacher.
It also stated: “…association taking serious note on the above charter of demands urge the concern authority to look into the matter seriously and meet the demands immediately with the submission of this representation. Further, it may be stated that inspite of our appeals to the concerned authority to follow the rules of recruitment of P.T’s in the district Phek. Until and unless the concerned authorities fail to bring out the notification for fulfilling the above charter of demands, the association will be compelled to seek justice and initiate agitation against the concerned authorities which may not be favourable to our present society. The association would not be held responsible for any untoward incidents that may arise in the course of seeking justice.”
