An appeal to Nagas

In the early 80’s the Zeliangrong People of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland have move for creation of Zeliangrong homeland which is to be carve out of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland after pursuing the matter for some good years the Government of India have accepted the demand of Zeliangrong people knowing the bereft of the people in economic, education, political and all round development.  When the matter had reached the final stage, our other Naga brothers had started approaching our Zeliangrong Leaders and requested us to drop our demand for creation of Zeliangrong homeland because it may hamper the Nagas movement for independent. In reply we have told them that we are not going to break away from present Nagaland and we have even told them that we are doing all this movement for greater Nagaland and we tried to assured them that we will always give cooperation with the other Naga when the Naga move for Naga cause, but our request was turn down, may be because we are too short sighted to see our future due to our short coming, because if we Zeliangrong people are given free hand to mobilize or organize ourselves those day, today the Naga would not face so much problem particularly in Manipur and Assam for Naga integration. Also in Assam a good portion of Zeliangrong land had be taken away by force by the Dimasa’s  who had once settle in N.C. Hill with the permission of Zeme/ Zeliangrong. Here I would like to ponder or question to my follow brothers who is the loser? Whom to be blame,  we all equally bear the responsibility, today we are only concentrate  about our ism, but tomorrow our sons and grandsons will automatically omit the word ism from their lips but Naga only. So, here the vest land being occupied by those invader belong to Naga but not Zeme/ Zeliangrong, as such I am very much apprehension that it is too late for us to re-occupied those resources, which once belong to naga.
Therefore, I would like to appeal my fellow Nagas to support the Zeliangrong people mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually in our endeavor to once again move for greater Nagaland. I also would like to congratulate ENPO and all NGOs under Mon. Tuensang, Longleng and Kiphiri for their bold step they have taken to move statehood. Let us not make another mistake by their demand like Zeliangrong let us unitedly support their demand for our bright future.
