COVID-19: Public awareness campaign held in Zunheboto

The ZCCI conducted an awareness campaign on the importance of wearing masks in view of the COVID-19 pandemic on May 3.
 

ZUNHEBOTO, MAY 5 (MExN): The Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ZCCI) conducted a mass public mask awareness campaign at 3 public squares on May 3.  The awareness campaigns were held at Last Traffice point below SBI bazar, 1st Traffic Point Project Colony and petrol pump South Point, east Zunheboto.

 

Speaking at the rally, Dr Bohovi Chophi, Advisor, ZCCI urged the people to be cautious and emphasised on the use of face masks, personal hygiene and to maintain social distancing as preventive measures.

 

President, ZCCI, Kikheto Muru meanwhile urged shopkeepers to sell their goods as per the MRPs and the wholesalers to follow the price fixation as issued. He cautioned that in case of price hike, the union would take stringent action. He further asked the people to follow the directives and guidelines issued by the government. Muru also asked the people to uphold the frontline workers in their prayers.

 

Earlier at the program was chaired by Katovi awomi, Advocate Advisor, ZCCI. The ZCCI also distributed washable masks at all public squares.
