The site for the Educational Institution is an important factor. The Institution should neither be far from the town nor too near it. Without a healthy and refreshing environment, which soothes the eye and pleases the soul, the intellectual forces of teachers and pupils will fail to function at the best and the ultimate moral benefit to their nature will be reduced a great deal
For the students of the Higher Secondary Classes, 2 acres of ground for 100 students is necessary. Besides this, there should be a separate playground for the students.
The following areas for playing field are required:
For 100 children 2- 3 Acres.
For 320 children 4-5 Acres.
For 480 children 6-7 Acres.
An Educational Institution is supposed to have the above mentioned facilities, but in Nagaland many plots of land belonging to Educational Institutions have been reduced to sizable limit due to terrific encroachment. Such encroachment ruins the future of the young generation.
