The Wokha District Administration organised a felicitation programme to honour and acknowledge the outstanding academic performance achieved by the four students from schools of Wokha district during the HSLC examination 2024. The programme was held at office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha on May 10.
The 4 toppers of Wokha District include Nchumbemo Lotha from Isaiah Higher Secondary School (Top 7), Ruth Y Lotha (Top 14), Meriyani C Humtsoe (Top 17) and Zaren Taslim Khandakar (Top 17) from Libemo Memorial School.
The felicitation programme was attended by the parents of the toppers along with school principals of Isaiah Ability Higher Secondary School and Libemo Memorial School, Wokha.
Wokha Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Ranjan extended congratulations to the four toppers, praising their achievements and the positive reputation they've brought to the school and district. He shared his own academic journey, emphasizing the importance of perseverance through ups and downs. Ranjan encouraged the toppers to define their own path and remain focused on their goals, reminding them that failure doesn't diminish their worth as long as they give their best effort. He advised them not to be deterred by others' opinions and to stay focused on their life goals.
Nuhuta Tunyi, SDO (C) Wokha Nuhuta Tunyi, SDO (C) Wokha, in his speech urged them to confront forthcoming challenges with courage and perseverance, acknowledging each step forward as a testament to their dedication and potential. Additionally, Tunyi encouraged them to pursue their dreams with dedication and hardwork.
During the programme, interaction session also took place between the four toppers and Wokha DC Ajit Kumar Ranjan.
