Kuda Village celebrates 70th village day

DIMAPUR, January 15 (MExN): Kuda Village (erstwhile Nagarjan) celebrated its 70th Village Day here at its Council Hall on Saturday. The program was graced by Thekruneituo Kire, Additional Director, Industries and Commerce as chief guest.
Kire in his address paid rich tribute to the forefathers for making the village to what it is today, Kire also termed the village as “one of the most peaceful area”  and asked the villagers to ponder on what they have achieved after 70 years and also to look forward to what more they should achieved. He also exhorted the youth to take up career guidance to achieve a good future and also asked the businessmen to guide the youth and teach them their trade, as “government jobs is saturated.”
Earlier, the village council chairman, Neingusie Nagi delivered the chairman’s message; reports were read out from the VDB, Youth, Women and the village council. Village Day awards were also given to those who had brought laurels in academics and sports.  Other highlights of the program included, invocation by Divikhoü Savino, benediction by Rev. M. Sakhrie, special song by the Kuda Village Baptist Church (KVBC) Youth, Sabulie Nakhro, joint secretary proposed the vote of thanks while the program was chaired by vice chairman Thekrulesie Dolie.
