In the present context of the scenario in our State, the COVID-19 pandemic hampered the developmental activities of the entire state economically, socially, mentally and psychologically and greatly affected the educational institutions of our state at the highest peak.
I express my profound gratitude to the Government of Nagaland, Department of School Education for their tireless efforts amidst this pandemic situation by launching the online education system which resulted to be successful, beneficial and is very much essential for the students at this hour. The Department of School Education also achieved remarkable success by completing online evaluation which is first of its kind in the whole country.
Secondly, the Department of School Education has launched the online admission process for the welfare of the students paving the way to ease transportation problems especially for the students residing in far flung areas and interior districts of our state.
Thirdly, on 11th June 2020, the School Education Department has notified Uniform Fee Structure for all Govt. schools functioning within the state with immediate effect which will benefit each and every student in the state during this critical time of crisis. As all of us are aware of the fact that" Students are the backbone of a country" I appreciate the wisdom of the decision makers for formulating such guidelines and approach with a vision to promote and benefit the students at a very large scale. I hope the measures taken by the department of school education will witness positive response and eventually benefit interest of the students of our state.
