LFI Dimapur shines in Regional Level Online Philatelic Exhibition

Shillong, February 2 (MExN): The first ever Regional Level Online Philatelic Exhibition, NEPEX was held from January 28 to 31, with the participation of students from different north eastern states.

The event was organised by Chief Postmaster General, Circle, Shillong in association with the North East Philatelic Society, a press release informed on Tuesday.

Students from different North Eastern states participated in the exhibition among which six students from Livingstone Foundation International School, Dimapur, participated in different categories of the online held competitions namely; Postcard Miniature Art competition, Speech Writing competition, Quiz, and Collage Art Competition using stamps.

In regards to this, two students won in separate competitions— Gavin Sangma from Grade X was placed in the third position in Collage Art Competition and Penyu Longchar from Grade IX came third in the Postcard Miniature Art Competition.

Apart from the students, Livingstone Chairperson Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema also took part in the philatelic exhibition under the theme World War II Philatelic Vignettes and won with 81 marks out of a possible 100. He won the Vermeil Medal, the highest medal awarded in the Open Class category as well as a special prize by the Deccan Philatelic Society Pune.
