Local community avails services in HWC Sanglao

Noklak, October 3 (MExN): As part of the Ayushman Bhavah initiative, one-day health mela took place at the Health and Wellness Center (HWC) in Sanglao village under the jurisdiction of Thonoknyu HQ, Noklak district on October 3. The event aimed to provide essential health services and awareness to the local community, a DIPR report stated. 

The health mela featured a range of activities aimed at promoting public health, including:  Registration for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), Antenatal care (ANC) services for expectant mothers, Screening for non-communicable diseases, Screening for tuberculosis (TB) and hepatitis, Family planning services, Immunization services for children and Focus group discussions on various health-related topics.

The medical team responsible for conducting these vital services included: Dr Among MO (IAH) - Medical Officer; Puchio, Lab Technician at ARTC Noklak and Sujang BAC, Thonoknyu - Health Staff.

The event saw an encouraging turnout, with over 100 patients and beneficiaries availing themselves of the health services and information provided.
