1985 CHRISTMAS

Composed on Dec 14, 1985 in Lalong Village, Jaluki

The jubilant Christmas day has dawned.
It is the birth day of Jesus Christ.
‘Tis His nineteen eighty fifth birth day.
Let us worship the Lord of the day.

Men may accept the form of Christmas
But may reject its life and spirit.
They may observe the pomp of the day
Yet may not give place to the Master.

So 'tis our plea to you this Christmas
To accept not the FORM but the LIFE,
To accept not His DAY but the LORD
And to accept not His MASS but CHRIST

May then the everlasting Savior,
The Almighty God, The Prince of Peace,
The Son of God, The Emanuel,
Grant you the joy, the real Christmas.

CHRISTMAS

Composed on Dec 18, 1989, Dimapur

God loved the world of yours and mine so much
That He gave His only Son JESUS.
His Son, the Lord, Savior, Emanuel
Came in history and lived in history.

He was born in a manger, the cowshed;
No place was found in home where men lived!
Since then Jesus is looking for a place
Why not give him a room in your heart?

The Shepherd came and worshipped the Savior.
They gave Him their lamb - the gifts of love.
The Wise men too worshipped the Newborn King
They laid their cherished gifts at His feet.

What does Christmas mean to you anyway?
"MASS" is not Christmas without the Christ,
Merriment is meaningless without love,
Christmas feast too is void without gifts.

Behold, millions of people are dying.
They never heard, about Christ's birth day.
What the use to celebrate Christ's birthday
Without a concern for the un-reached?

Storm clouds of the ev'ning are gathering;
Un-reached millions are swept to the hell.
They groan, they weep and cry for a rescue!
Will you leave them uncared and unloved?

God lavishly blessed you with His blessings.
Will you not share a piece of your heart
For the rescue of the perishing souls
From this Christmas, the birth day of Christ?

TRUE CHRISTMAS DAY

Composed on December 4, 1961, Impur

In a cold day of a cold season Jesus was born.
The heart of humankind was cold; there was void of love.
In the lowest manger of cattle Jesus was born.
There was no room in human hearts for whom He came down.

The earth, all around, was ready to receive her King.
But the earthly kings, none of them was aware of it.
No bell was rung in the palace to receive the King.
There was wailing in the land which killed mothers' spirit.

Lowly shepherd were they who received the new born King.
Their dwellings were away in the fields of Bethlehem.
The angels sang the gladdest anthem of His coming
But the human hearts were filled with vices to kill Him.
Today He's looking for a room, - for Him to abide.
Will you not lend the sweetest home of your heart to Him?
Long time ago, He was born in a manger aside.
Oh why not today, let Him come to your heart to stay?

Christmas day was foretold in the garden of Eden.
Christmas day was dawned on the day of incarnation.
But the true Christmas day, the truest one be dawned when
Christ is born in you, - imparting His life and nature.

OH WHAT A WONDERFUL SAVIOR IS MINE!

Composed on October 30, 1998 at Hong Kong

Jesus, You are the Life of the lifeless,
Resurrection from both the grave and hell,
Deliverer of the captives of sin,
Health to the diseased, and Strength of the weak.

Jesus. You are the Wisdom of the fool,
Knowledge of the ignorant and wayward,
Joy of the frustrated and the despaired,
And Riches and Abundance of the poor.

You are the Victory of the vanquished,
Possibility of impossible.
Infinite of finite, Time of timeless
And Creator of all the creation

You are the God of God, the Light-of Light,
True God of True God, True Life of true Life,
The Living Word, and the Living Wisdom,,
The True Way, the True Truth, and the True Door

You are the Living Bread of the hungry,
And the Living Water of the thirsty.
You are the Holiness of the sinners,
And the Peace of the fighting enemies.

You are Unchangeable, Immutable,
Same yesterday, Today and forever.
Through You and for You all things created
And they all consist and exist in You.

In a point of time You came to this world
By emptying Yourself to become like us.
Miraculous was Your birth in history
By the Holy Spirit through a virgin .

You were Incomprehensible to men
But became comprehensible on earth  .
You put on your own body  man's nature
But remained True God of True God unstained .

You were born a Man - True Man of True Man,
And passed through every stage of life, namely
Infants, Children, Boys, Young Men, and Old Men,
And the last gate of life- the pang of death !

You suffered under Governor Pilate,
You're crucified, put to death, and buried.
You descended into the lowest hell,
The abode of Satan and doomed spirits

You defeated Satan eternally;
You shattered his authority and power;
You placed his dominion under our feet;
And made us the masters of the devils.

You arose on the third day - A VICTOR
And gave us the Authorities and powers
To cast out the devils and their forces,
And deliver the captives from Satan.

You ascended into heaven again,
And sat on the Right Hand of the Father;
You received all Authorities and Powers.
And rule from there over all creations.

You're our Representative on the Throne,
Our Apostle, Our Captain ,Our High Priest.
Our life is eternally kept in You
Saved, protected and secured by Your Grace .

You are coming back again in glory
To reign upon this earth a thousand years!
You purchased us to share Your own glory.
Oh what a  Wonderful Savior is Mine !
