Model Christian College, Kohima organized a send-off programme for the senior students at the college premises on March 7.
The hosts of the event were Atoika, Chongdeining and Khriesino of BA 2nd semester, BA 4th semester, and B. Sc 4th semester respectively.
The program started with prayer by Jamkhanmoi, Assistant Professor, Department of Education followed by welcome address from Albert Arucho, Administrator and speech on behalf of the faculty was delivered by Thethem Hangsing, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Bangda Vomshak, President, Model Christian College Students Council (MCCSC) spoke on behalf of the seniors while Joseph Riamei, Vice President, MCCSC spoke on behalf of the juniors.
The college, for the first time, introduced ‘The Best Student of the Batch' Award for the graduating students. Hemshu of B.Sc 6th semester was the winner. She walked away with a certificate and cash prize.
