Mon DPDB meeting discusses various agendas

Mon, June 23 (MExN): The Mon District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting held at the DC’s Conference Hall Mon on June 23 started with a prayer and moment of silence for the departed District Chaplain, Rev Takyong Konyak. The meeting discussed various agendas. 

Additional fifty lakh for emergencies 
For the LADP 2021-22, MLA & Chairman DBDP Mon, EE Pangteang in his address highlighted that the elected members of Mon District have collectively decided to reserve an amount of fifty lakh from Common Pool for use during emergencies. The fifty lakh is in addition to the 10 lakh allocated from each Assembly Constituency for COVID activities as per the guidelines issued by the State Government, he added.

Pangteang applauded the District Task Force for COVID, District Administration and frontline and healthcare workers for handling both the waves impressively, stated a DIPR report. He asserted that the annual plan booklet of DPDB should be thoroughly checked and updated for addition or omission of any information on a yearly basis, urging the Planning Department to consider the matter on priority. 

Agendas
The agendas for the meeting included approval of proposal by the Board and forwarding of the same to the concerned departments; registrations of Kenchenshu Student's Union, Anghlam Welfare Society Y. Kenchenshu, Counseling & Prayer Ministry Society, Aboi; registration for compensation for the loss of Holy Cross School's property; creation of Nagaland Village Guard (NVG) post at Chingkao Nyaho village, Angjangyang, Yaphang, Changkhong and Ukha Lamping; selection of Tobu as Aspirational Block in Mon District; registration of Yingang School, Aboi; registration of Wungmei Entertainment and Management as a society; and upgradation of existing health unit at United Yonghong Village to Primary Health Centre(PHC) and that of Angjangyang to PHC or CHC. 

The Board accepted the request for grant of fund by the District Hospital Mon and various Health Units for COVID related activities to be channeled through the LADP fund. 

TB MUKT Bharat Campaign
As per the Government of India's goal of eradicating TB by 2025 and in pursuance to the letter received from the Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, the Board resolved to extend full cooperation and assistance for achieving the goal in the District. 

The Board also approved the LADP 2021-22. 

The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chairman DPDB Mon & DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS. The meeting was attended by 46 AC Mon MLA, N Thongwang Konyak, members of the Board and officers of various Departments.
