Nagaland Polls activities update

Mokokchung: DC and DEO Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh IAS has notified that the applicants so mentioned in Annexure-A has been exempted from election duty on medical grounds as recommended by the Medical Board after due examination on February 13 at ADC Planning Hall, Mokokchung. The remaining personnel whose case for exemption has not been recommended are to compulsorily attend all training for the performance of election duties, failure of which shall invite appropriate disciplinary action as per relevant sections of the Election law, stated a DIPR report. 

Kohima: DC & DEO Kohima, Shanavas C IAS has informed that a two-day second round of training for all officials/staff appointed as Polling Personnel/Grade IV staff will held on February 17 and 18 from 10:00 am onwards at Kohima College. February 17: Polling Personnel/Grade IV staff appointed for 8-Western Angami AC, 10 & 11- Northern Angami I & II ACs and Male Polling Officials/Staff (in the reserve); February 18-Polling Personnel/Grade IV staff appointed for 9-Kohima Town AC, 14- Southern Angami I AC and 15 Southern Angami II AC, Female Polling Officials/Staff (in the reserve) and Polling Officials/staff (Young Employee). A DIPR report stated that Polling Personnel/Grade IV staffs, including the young employee category and the reserve personnel have been directed to attend the training without fail.

Zunheboto: The third phase of training for all Polling Personnel will be held on February 17 and 18 at 10:00 am. February 17: (Male) Presiding Officers & 1st Polling at GHSS; (Female) Presiding Officers & 1st Polling at Multipurpose Hall on February 17. February 18: (Male) 2nd Polling & 3rd Polling at GHSS; (Female) 2nd Polling & 3rd Polling (Female) at Town Multipurpose Hall,.

Randomization of EVMS and VVPATS
Phek:
DEO Phek conducted the second randomization of EVMs and VVPATs at the office chamber of Asst Election Officer, Phek on February 14. The randomization exe rcises for all five Assembly Constituencies in Phek district were done for representatives from all political parties from the respective Assembly Constituencies and ROs of five AC. Asst Programmer, Shiluti Tsuhah was the technical expert on randomization. DC & DEO Phek Kumar Ramnikant IAS and General Observers stationed in Phek district attended the randomization exercises.

Kohima: The 2nd randomization and commissioning of EVMs and VVPATs was conducted on February 15 by DC & DEO Kohima Shanavas C for 9th Kohima Town AC and 11th Northern AngamiII AC at DC's Conference Hall and 8th Western Angami AC and 10th Northern Angami 1 AC at DB's Hall Kohima. The randomization was done through Software in the presence of General Observer, Janak Prasad Pathak, Returning Officers, and various political party representatives/candidates from Kohima district. 

Wokha: The 2nd phase of training was conducted on February 15 at GHSS, Wokha. General Observer for 39 Sanis AC and 40 Bhandari AC Jyoti Kumar Lakra IAS inspected and interacted with the polling personnel during the training. Earlier, commissioning and randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs was conducted in the presence of the General Observer, Expenditure Observer, and Returning Officers of the four assembly constituencies under Wokha district on February 15 at Town Hall, Wokha.
