Nagaland: RD, Power & other departments accord farewell to retiring officers, staffs

The department of Rural Development accorded a befitting farewell to its outgoing director, Azenuo Pienyü, SO-II Kavito Achumi and MTS Vishito Swu at RD Conference Hall, Kohima on April 30.

Speaking on the occasion, Rural Development & SIRD Minister, Metsubo Jamir extended appreciation to the outgoing officers and staff for the services rendered to the department. Jamir impressed upon them to continue to contribute towards the society even after their retirement by utilising their wisdom and experiences that they had gained during 

their service.
RD Commissioner & Secretary, Kevisa Kense and Additional Director, K Inazhe Phuleshe also spoke during the programme. 

Outgoing Director Azenuo Pienyü encouraged all officers to work harder to achieve their goals and to uplift the rural people and also to extend the same cooperation to the incoming director. Speeches were also delivered by outgoing officer Kavito Achumi, SO-II and MTS, Vishito Swu. 

Speech on behalf of NRDSA was delivered by Kupto Achumi, President NRDSA, Mongna Konyak, PD, Mon on behalf of Project Directors, Vekhrolo Koza, BDO on behalf of Block Development Officers and COO, NSRLM, M Rollan Lotha.
The programme was chaired by RD joint director Taliyanger while joint director, Manhom Konyak pronounced the invocation. Earlier, bio data of the retirees was shared by RD superintendent Yabangla Jamir.

Power Department:  The farewell programme in honour of two outgoing Chief Engineers- Er Penrithung Yanthan, Chief Engineer (Transmission & Generation) and Er Tiameren Walling, Chief Engineer (Distribution & Revenue) was held in the conference hall of Power Department, Kohima on April 30.

The programme was attended by KG Kenye, Minister Power & Parliamentary Affairs and Asangla Imti, Secretary (Power) and Er Lanu Toy, the first Chief Engineer of Power Department.

Speaking on the occasion, Kenye on behalf of the state government expressed gratitude to the two outgoing Chief Engineers for rendering three and a half decades of exceptional service to the State and said that it has been an immense pleasure working with them. 

In her speech, Asangla Imti said that the two outgoing Chief Engineers have contributed immensely towards public service and that it was an honour and a privilege to have worked with them. Er Moa Aier, Engineer-in-Chief (Power) said that they were two of the most outstanding officers of the Department and highlighted the immense contribution the two have given to the Power Sector.

The incoming Chief Engineer (T&G) and also president of Association of Power Engineers Nagaland, Er Kasho Chishi congratulated the officers for completing their 35 years of sincere and dedicated service.

In his farewell speech, Er Penrithung Yanthan encouraged the upcoming officers and underscored three important things for officers working under the Department. He said that there are lots of rooms for improvement, as 35 years of time is long enough to do many things but unbeknownst to us, time passes quickly and so things should be done before the sun sets.

Er Tiameren Walling in his farewell speech lauded the officers & staff of the Department for their dedication and sacrifices despite being confronted with many challenges and encouraged all to continue their dedication towards providing good service.

The programme was chaired by Er Nitovi A Wotsa, Superintending Engineer (Technical) while vote of thanks was proposed by incoming Chief Engineer (D&R), Er Wabangmeren Jamir.

DoHFW: Farwell programme of Dr Khriezotuo Paphino, Director and Sendongkaba Jamir, Asst Food Safety Commissioner along with Principal Director and senior officers of Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (DoHFW) was held at IDSP Hall on April 30.

Industries & Commerce: A farewell programme in honour of retiring Director, Industries & Commerce, ATemjen Jamir was held at Conference Hall, Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Kohima on April 30.
A Temjen Jamir first entered into Government service as an Extension Officer in April 1989 and went on to be promoted to the post of Director on March 1, 2023. After serving the Department for 35 years, he retired on April 30, stated a DIPR report.

Retiring Director, A Temjen Jamir in his farewell speech emphasised the gathering to embrace change and work as a team. He also called on them to continue to learn.

Advisor for Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu described retiring Director, A Temjen Jamir as a man with a simple heart, humble, joyful nature and a man full of determination to work for the people. She added that the day was to celebrate the illustrious career of a man who has given so much for the people and wished him the best in his retired life.
Commissioner & Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Kekhrievor Kevichusa and Incoming Director, P Tokugha Achumi also dlivered speeches. A song was presented by the establishment branch.

Fazl Ali College: Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung held the farewell programme in honour of retiring officer Dr Imcharenla, Head of Department, Department of Economics, on April 30.

Dr I Wati Imchen, Principal FAC spoke on behalf of the teaching faculty members. He congratulated the retiring officer for reaching a successful milestone in good health and expressed gratitude for her works and contributions towards the college, with wishes for the best in her retirement. Dr Imliwati spoke on behalf of FACTA and Dr L Imlinichet Imchen spoke on behalf of the Department of Economics. Messages were given by Asensor on behalf of FACSU and Imsunaro T Ao. 

Dr Imcharenla expressed her gratitude towards the college and reflected fondly on her time in FAC which covered the span of 31 years and one month. Her service years in the field of teaching were 34 years and 9 months.
