The Nagaland State Government has 61 (sixty-one) departments. Amongst them, the General Administration Department (G.A.D.) and the Law Enforcing Agency Department (L.E.A.D.) are authorized to maintain law and order. The General Administrative Department can be likened to the function of a human brain in the body of a government, the Law Enforcing Agency Department to the backbone, and the rest of the other departments to other organs of a body.
When the brain and the backbone do not function properly, the body becomes paralyzed. Likewise, when the General Administration rank, starting from S.D.O. (civil) and above, and the Law Enforcing Agency Department rank, from the officer in charge (OC) Police Station, are posted to their own place in the District Headquarters, everyone is well aware that human nature from birth: Neopotism/favoritism/clanism and isms, etc., in the sense that they are much interested and inclined to act in such a phenomenon that is venomous in human intellectual: that is why, when a murderer is a relative, the legacy of the said Executive officials or Law Enforcing Agency Officials, those cases may be delayed, or be treated with leniency, has no effective power and there is a miscarriage of justice, where fight turns to wrong. As an adage says: “Blood is thicker than water”, which means, “there is always a great sympathy for a relative than any one else.” Naturally, no one admires such type of attitude, and no one remains a spectator.
It is a known fact that the opposition parties have taken their own course of action, starting aggravations, agitations, and thereby increasing tension, something like pouring more oil into the fire, vindictively and maliciously seeking revenge. The tension only increases, going from bad to worse, to beyond control, and the “law and order is deteriorated”.
Judgeging from the mentioned above points of facts and properly examining and viewing all angles that no officials from the General Administration Department or Law enforcing Agency Department officials as mentioned above should not be posted to their own place of District Headquarters, in order to avoid Nepotism/Favoritism/Clanism and Isms etc so as to maintain tranquility, peace and harmony in the state of Nagaland if government with peace in the state.
This is the desire in the interest of common people in Nagaland in general “Vox populi.”
