NJCF dismayed by ‘false propaganda’ on COVID vaccine

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 18 (MExN): The Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) today expressed dismay over “false propaganda” with regard to the COVID-19 vaccine. A press release from Rev Dr N Paphino stated that “unfounded and self-style prophecy has created more confusion among the people during this difficult time while the world is going through a life-threatening pandemic.” While stating that the Church “holds the institution of prophecy in high esteem,” the NJCF said “we cannot use prophecy at every turn to go against the plan and programs which is for the good of the people.” It asked the Church to be “vigilant on false prophets or prophetess to maintain the sanctity of the church.” “It is disheartening to see that any new thing that is invented is labeled as the ‘mark of the beast.’ It only exhibits our shallowness and ignorance about the Christian teaching of salvation. Our salvation is based on the work of a person and not on the invented things. We are bought by the blood of Jesus Christ and those who believe and accept that will never lose their salvation because of a vaccine,” the NJCF stated.
